B.A.D. Music

This blob is intended to be a place where one can go and find fresh shit to listen to, watch, or read day in and day out. This is not one of those posts. These new Kid Cudi and Asher Roth songs came out yesterday or some time recently and they fucking suck. First of all, Cudi needs shut the fuck up. Why does he still get away with singing on tracks? He simply can not sing. Don’t believe me? Go see a concert.

Does that sound remotely good to anyone? That shit wouldn’t even pass for decent karaoke at George Payne. Cool for being one of the four percent of rappers not autotuning the fuck out of yourself, but maybe you should. On to the new song. It sounds like he’s sending in a demo to be the new lead singer for Weezer. Congrats on making the catchy hook though, that shit will totally kill it at sweet sixteens. Oh yeah, and Kanye sleepwalks through a verse at the end, if you can make it that far. Please re-retire.

KiD CuDi feat. Kanye West – Erase Me

Moving along, here’s Asher Roth’s new song where he does his best Kid Cudi impression and he has accomplished the incredible. He recorded a three and a half minute song where he literally managed to say absolutely nothing of any substance. How the fuck is that possible? Oh I know, because you rhyme the words “peace and love” with “sometimes might need a hug”. As if the actual rapping isn’t unbearable enough, Mr. Roth decides to bless us with some inspirational words at the end over some uplifting violins and cymbal crashes (again, if you can make it that far). Not really sure what the fuck he’s talking about at the end, but he’s right “this life…it’s life”. The message is as muddled and scatterbrained as the entire song. How are you going to make a track about making it to the light at the end of the tunnel and then end the hook with the words “I can only grind for so long”?

Asher Roth – G.R.I.N.D.

I apologize for putting you all through that. Good music is coming up right after this.
