You know an announcement is big when I break out the AOL Translator. As I may or may not have mentioned since my return, there’s a lot of big things happening this week. This is including, but not limited to, this website. First up, I’m taking the old way of downloading songs and scrapping it for a sexy music player built into the blob herself. Gone are the days of following links to a file sharing site to stream a song! Test it out on the batch of edits I put up in the last post.

First of all, I’m not much of a movie snob, but Hype Williams completely ripped off Gaspar NoĆ© in this video. Haven’t seen Enter The Void? Don’t take my word for it, have a look for yourself.
However, Hype can do whatever the fuck he wants so long as he keeps putting Rihanna in outfits like the one she’s wearing in this video. Just look at all that side boob, and that’s my favorite kind of boob! Now that the obligatory Kanye post is out of the way, it’s music time.
Kanye West & Jay-Z – H.A.M. (Travis Barker Remix)
Infinitely better than the original. It’s off of the Travis Barker mixtape that just dropped. You can download that here. This track is also worth hearing:
Travis Barker feat. Swizz Beatz, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross & Game – Can A Drummer Get Some
(Re-up for that dude who asked for it)
Keri Hilson – Pretty Girl Rock Remix ft. Kanye West (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
A lot of you muhfuckas have been commenting about expired links. That’s your fault for sleeping on shit and my fault for not re-posting links when asked. I’ll be a good now, I promise. Now here’s some good music for dat ass, the clubby shit will come later in the week so stay tuned.
Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y – Huey Newton (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
Curren$y – Michael Knight Remix ft. Raekwon (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
J. Cole – Blow Up (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
J. Cole – Who Dat (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
Kanye West hops on Keri Hilson’s new track as they attempt round 2 after their super successful collab last year on “Knock You Down”. This is some catchy shit so be careful, dudes. Anyway, I’ve got edits for dayyysss and there’s plenty more coming.
Keri Hilson – Pretty Girl Rock Remix ft. Kanye West (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
First…again.
Bonus:
Here’s the original, though I have no idea why you would ever need it, and a seldom heard Keri remix from last year.
Keri Hilson – Pretty Girl Rock (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
Keri Hilson – Turnin’ Me On Remix ft. T-Pain & Lil Wayne (Chazz Rockwell Dirty Edit)
Or should I say Kanye, Jay, and the chick from La Roux? Anyway, this is the second track off the EP turned full length LP from Kanye West and Jay-Z titled Watch The Throne. Pete Rock revealed that the G.O.O.D. Friday track he produced, “The Joy”, will also appear on the album. I also read a separate interview with Pete Rock where he said that he made that beat in 1997. Wow. Another little known fact, this is the first Pete Rock beat that Jay-Z has ever laid a verse on. Good thing he absolutely merks it.
Kanye West & Jay-Z – That’s My Bitch ft. Elly Jackson
Kanye West – The Joy ft. Pete Rock, Jay-Z, Charlie Wilson, Curtis Mayfield & Kid Cudi
Bonus:
Kanye West & Jay-Z – That’s My Bitch ft. Elly Jackson (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
First! Also, I’ve got plenty of edits for Kanye’s new tracks from the past months. Expect those soon.
As previously mentioned, Lil Wayne is a free man. Well not entirely free since part of his 36 month probation stipulates that he’s not allowed to consume alcohol. How the fuck do they plan to uphold that? Anyway, upon his release this long sought-after song hit the internets. It was featured in The Carter Documentary last year in what was one of the most memorable scenes in a very memorable documentary. Check the song and scene referenced below.
Lil Wayne – 30 Minutes to New Orleans (Fuck One Time)
Some DJ drops on it, but it’s still very listenable. Does this beat also sound familiar? It fucking should be if you know anything about anything. Here’s the original with an intro for the DJs reading.
Donnis – Gone (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
Bonus:
I seriously can not recommend the Lil Wayne Documentary enough. A great hour and fifteen minutes. Here’s the full film.
You already know about how there’s three huge releases coming out Monday. There’s also two more lesser known, but equally exciting drops to look forward to as well. First up, Curren$y’s followup to his critically acclaimed LP, Pilot Talk, which dropped earlier this year. The first one was fantastic and this dude is sounding sharper than ever. “Michael Knight” got put out a week ago and has been getting steady plays in my iTunes since. The remix with Raekwon came out today (or yesterday if you’re into downloading illegal thangs on the internet). Here’s a “making of” video of said remix from the good folks at Creative Control followed by some music below it.
Curren$y – Michael Knight Remix ft. Raekwon
Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y – Huey Newton
Yup, that samples “Africa” by Toto
Bonus:
Curren$y & Fiend – Flying Iron (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
Hey DJs, I’ve got looooads of new intro edits so stay tuned as I’ll be sharing them with the masses in the coming days.
This is shaping up to what may be Dr. Dre’s single for Detox. Or maybe it won’t even make the album. Who the fuck knows. I do know that an unmastered version of this leaked last night so today Dre pushed out a mastered version for the masses because the response to the record was so positive. Pretty cool.
Dr. Dre – Kush ft. Snoop Dogg & Akon
Bonus:
Intro edit for all the DJs out there. Two versions, use whichever one you prefer.
Dr. Dre – Kush ft. Snoop Dogg & Akon (Chazz Rockwell Intro 1)
Dr. Dre – Kush ft. Snoop Dogg & Akon (Chazz Rockwell Intro 2)
Your eyes are not deceiving you, this is the first cut from Big L’s third album. Though it’s not exactly new since it’s a remix of “Danger Zone” off of Lifestylez Ov Da Poor and Dangerous. Is it okay that I like this version more than the original?
Big L – Zone Of Danger
Moving on, Big L gets my vote for greatest MC of all time. The witty punchlines, intricate flows, and legendary ability to go off his head made him an underground icon in the 90′s. In 1998 his acclaimed single, “Ebonics”, had him on the verge of breaking through with commercial success like fellow members of the Children of the Corn, Mase and Cam’ron. However, getting shot 9 times put an end to that real quick. Lemont left behind one classic solo album then posthumously released another in 2000. Hopefully we can add another classic to the discography when the slain legend’s family releases Return of the Devil’s Son on November 23rd. They say it’s a 21 track LP all of unreleased material. If that’s true it could be epic.
Now for some essentials:
Big L – Da Graveyard ft. Lord Finesse, Microphone Nut, Jay-Z, Party Arty & Grand Daddy I.U.
Big L – Put It On
For the DJ’s…
Big L ft. Big Daddy Kane – Platinum Plus (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
Big L – Ebonics (Neo’s Intro Edit)
More Big Lemont to come soon.
Steve Angello’s summer hit meets Laidback Luke and company’s take on the classic Robin S. vocal. I threw this together back on August 3rd, 6 days after seeing Angello DJ here in Barcelona. Since then, his song “KNAS” has topped the Beatport charts and become a sure fire hit. I’ve kept it to myself for long enough, so here it is for all the internets to behold. Click the play button to open the sleek and sexy music player for streaming and right click on the download button to save it.
Steve Angello & Laidback Luke – Be vs KNAS (Chazz Rockwell Bootleg)
This and plenty more can all be found on my Music page.
Bonus:
Here’s eight and a half solid minutes from Angello’s set at Opium Mar earlier this summer, including him putting together a “KNAS vs Be” bootleg live. It drops at 4:15.
Here’s some new joints that have intros and are Serato ready for your next foray into a rap music DJ set. Stop playing “Lean Back” and start playing new shit pleaaaase.
Fabolous – You Be Killin ‘Em (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
Ray J – Celebration ft. Ludacris (Chazz Rockwell Short Edit)
The Kid Daytona – The Champ (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
Dwele – What’s Not To Love (Chazz Rockwell Intro)
Bonus:
An older cut, but seldom heard and always fun to drop.
